 Katarzyna
Priebe, President/CEO
After over 10 years of working in the security industry and being a
part of several large security company consolidations, Katarzyna
founded Priebe Security Services in order to provide customers with a
quality alternative to big international providers - a company that
values individuals.
Prior to founding Priebe Security, Katarzyna served as Vice President
of Sales for United Building Security, Business Development Manager for
Barton Protective Services, and Sales Manager for American Protective
Services. Throughout her career, Katarzyna has gained significant
experience in security operations and has developed proven leadership
skills.
Additionally, Katarzyna founded and served as president of the Austin
Polish Society, a 501C non-profit organization promoting Polish culture
in Austin. She has also provided leadership and community service as
the chair of numerous committees in industry organizations such as
BOMA, IFMA, and ASIS. Katarzyna earned her bachelors degree in Russian
from The University of Texas at Austin.
Jim Cartier, General Manager
Following a 25 year security management career in the high tech
industry Jim joined Priebe Security Services on July 1, 2010 as the
Company’s General Manager. Jim began his career in law
enforcement prior to joining the Institute of Criminal Justice Studies,
Southwest Texas State University. More recently, Jim was employed by
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and rose to the position of Senior
Manager, Security, the America’s. He later joined Spansion, Inc.
and served in the company’s Risk Management Department as Senior
Manager, Global Security.
In addition to his industry experience, Jim co-founded the Austin Metro
High Tech Foundation and presently serves on the scholarship and audit
committees in the Austin chapter of ASIS. He is also an active
member of the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education
and the Austin Chapter of the American Society for Training and
Development.
A native of Austin, Jim has taught and consulted throughout the United
States and internationally in the fields of crime prevention, juvenile
justice and delinquency prevention, security management and English for
Speakers of Other Languages. He earned a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Law Enforcement from Southwest Texas State University and the
Master of Science in Adult and Extension Education from Texas A&M
University.
 Mani Reyes-Diaz, Human Resources Manager
Mani joined Priebe Security Services in March 2008 as the Human
Resources Manager. She has more than 15 years of experience in
the HR and Training field. Prior to joining Priebe Security
Services she was the Human Resources Manager for a specialty finance
company in San Antonio, Texas and served as a Leadership Trainer in the
United States Air Force. She has earned her Professional in Human
Resources (PHR) certification and is a graduate of William Carey
University, Mississippi.
Additionally, Mani serves in the Air Force Reserves and was deployed in
2005 to Iraq, where she functioned as Assistant NCOIC for the Medical
Logistics section at the USAF Trauma Hospital. She is an active member
in various professional associations and volunteers for a number of
non-profit organizations.
 Albert Melendez-Vasquez, Operations Manager
Albert Vasquez is the Operations Manager for Priebe Security. Having
worked his way up through the ranks at Priebe Security he now trains
new officers, manages scheduling, and assists in daily branch
operations.
Albert retired from a distinguished career in the US Army after
returning from Iraq with numerous awards and decorations including
Meritorious Service and Global War on Terrorism Medals.
